Wesley furrowed her brow and sighed softly.“It’s been a long time. It was tough and we missed you…but things have changed. You’ve got to understand…three years is a long time to pretend everything will be fine the way it used to be. Even I was beginning to think something had happened…that you weren’t coming back after all.”
Sherlock frowned slightly. “I don’t plan to leave again any time soon I assure you that much” he said with a small smile down at Wesley. They weaved through the streets, walking far. Sherlock had taken to walking after his return… as if it was his apology note… to London.
He held the door open for her as they reached the coffee shop and they sat down in the back and he gave her a simple smile. “How have your three years been?”
